Clinical Coordinator
Welcome! I am the clinical coordinator at Growing Smiles. I have worked in the field of dentistry since 2000, and with Dr. Henderson since 2007. I love working in a practice that focuses on treating children! There's always something new to learn, and each day is never the same. I truly enjoy talking with the children and sharing funny stories and tons of smiles. I live here in Lawrence along with my husband, Tyler, and my kids, Tucker, Molly and Ruby. I also have two dogs - Daisy and Milo! In my free time, I enjoy sewing, participating in 4-H, sports and outdoor activities and playing coed dodge ball!
Scheduling & Benefits Coordinator
Hi, my name is Amy, and as your scheduling and benefits coordinator, I am so excited to welcome you to Growing Smiles! I have been working in the field of dentistry since 2006, and joined Dr. Henderson and the team in 2009. I truly enjoy being a part of the Growing Smiles team. Everybody working at this practice has a happy, loving personality, the office atmosphere is warm, and inviting, it's simply a perfect place for children and families! As for myself, I live here in Lawrence with my husband, Logan and my dog Niko. In my spare time I enjoy shopping, selling jewelry, playing volleyball, and being the Kansas University Jayhawks' biggest basketball fan!

Hello, and welcome to Growing Smiles! My name is Judy and I have worked with Dr. Henderson since 2009. I have been in the field of dentistry since 2001 and obtained my Certified Scaling Assistant certificate in 2001. My favorite thing about the office, besides working with the best team in dentistry ;), is being able to help educate kids and parents about how to keep a happy healthy smile! Dr. Henderson is a very caring and compassionate person to both her staff and each child we help in the office. I have two wonderful kids, Austin and Alyssa, and in my spare time I enjoy hanging out with them, reading and shopping.

Hi, my name is Mary, and I am the new patient care coordinator at Growing Smiles! It's a pleasure to welcome you and your family to Growing Smiles, and as your new patient care coordinator, it is my goal to make sure that you have a comfortable, fun, rewarding experience. I have been working with Dr. Henderson since 2007. I enjoy working with children and the excitement that they bring to each appointment. Originally from Kansas City, MO (Missouri), my family and I have lived in Lawrence since 2000. I have a husband and three wonderful children. In my spare time I enjoy antiquing and estate sale shopping - you never what treasures you will find! I am also an avid KU football fan, Go Jayhawks!

Welcome! My name is Tanya and I am Dr. Henderson's main operatory assistant. I have been in the field of dentistry since 1995 and with Dr. Henderson since 2009. She is great with the patients - her kind & gentle approach works so well, especially with kids who may have some jitters. My favorite part of the job is making kids smile! I have lived in Kansas my entire life and currently I live with my husband Jerry and my 2 dogs, Sarge and Macy. In my spare time, I love going to Lake of the Ozarks, shopping and hanging out with family, friends and my dogs!
Registered Dental Hygienist
Hi there! My name is Melody and I am a registered dental hygienist at Growing Smiles! I graduated from Johnson County Community College and received my degree in dental hygiene in May of 2009 and started working with Dr. Henderson in 2010. I love working with Dr. Henderson and the rest of the team and helping the kids work through their appointment. I live with my husband, Dusty, two cats, Tiger and Aurora, and my dog Shorty. I love watching movies, hanging out with friends, reading books and relaxing at home!
Scheduling Coordinator
Hi, my name is Melissa, and as your scheduling coordinator, I can't wait to work with you and your little one at Growing Smiles! I joined Dr. Henderson and the team in 2010. I love working with all of the amazing families in the practice and seeing the smile on the kid's faces when they leave! Dr. Henderson is so caring and compassionate with each and every child that comes to the practice. I am a long time Lawrence resident and I live with my husband, Tony, and daughter, Brylee. In my free time, I love hanging out with family, reading, traveling (especially cruises!) and watching KU Basketball!

Hi there, my name's Kristal! I'm so excited to welcome you to our practice! I have been a dental assistant for Dr. Henderson since 2009. I recently graduated from KU - ROCK CHALK!! Working in pediatric dentistry with Dr. Henderson is such a wonderful experience. She is so great with kids, even the ones who are at first afraid if being at the dentist leave with big smiles on their faces! I love the challenge that each day brings, and I look forward to helping kids achieve good health and happy smiles. I am originally from Hutchinson, and moved to Lawrence in 2006. I have two sisters, and an adorable nephew! In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies and reading mystery novels!

Hey everyone! My name is Alisa and I am a dental assistant with Growing Smiles! I have been in the field of dentistry for over 2 years and with Dr. Henderson since 2011. My favorite thing about working in pediatric dentistry is creating a fun and relaxing environment for our patients and helping each kid and parent maintain good oral health. I am originally a native of Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina but I have lived in Lawrence for a while! I love working with Dr. Henderson - she is very generous, caring and compassionate with the kids and staff. I am married to Harris and I have two sons. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, cooking and spending time with family and friends. I bet you didn't know that I am fluent in Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian languages!
